Main Highlight: Hedgehog Cafe
Animals Cafe! It is a kind of cafe where you can actually interact directly with cute animals while enjoying your afternoon coffee. One of the most popular cafes in Japan is the Hedgehog Cafe (Harry Hedgehog Cafe website). Ouch~! No need to worry about those needles, you will be provided with gloves as well as the hedgehogs’ little snacks in these cafe. Of course, there will be refreshments in the cafe but trust me, you will be so busy handling these cute little creatures and trying to capture smiles with them that there will be hardly any time for refreshments.
Honestly, their spikes can get be really scary especially when they are not in a good mood. Try not to irritate them too much! But when you hold them, stroke them in your hands, you just can’t stop adoring their cute expressions.
Unlike a usual cafe, there was no tables and chairs, I was seated around a “bucket bed” housing many tiny hedgehogs. There may be times that you will be asked to share the same “bucket” with others especially during weekends where there will be alot of customers. If you are alone or prefer more privacy, bar counter seats are available too.
